Terms of service.
Effective Date: September 1, 2025
Last Updated: October 18, 2025
Welcome to Parfait Consulting! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) describe how we work together. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms — so please read them (we’ll keep it short and human).
1. What We Do
We provide IT consulting and advisory services to businesses across Canada.
Our services include:
IT strategy and roadmapping
Technology audits and assessments
Governance, risk, and compliance (GRC)
AI and automation consulting
Virtual CIO, CTO, and CISO services
IT support and troubleshooting
We aim to make tech feel approachable, simple, and even a little fun.
2. Working Together
When you hire us:
We’ll agree on an hourly rate before any work begins.
We’ll track our time transparently using Harvest.
You’ll receive detailed invoices through Stripe.
We do our best to communicate clearly, keep projects on track, and deliver great value.
3. Payments
All invoices are handled through Stripe. You can pay securely online and manage your payment methods in our Stripe customer portal.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
Invoices are due upon receipt.
Late payments may incur reasonable interest or service pauses.
We reserve the right to suspend work if payments are significantly overdue.
4. Intellectual Property
Once you’ve paid for our services, any project deliverables we create for you (reports, configurations, documentation, etc.) are yours to use as intended for your business.
We may retain copies for record-keeping and portfolio purposes, but we won’t share confidential client materials publicly without permission.
5. Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential. That includes your business data, systems, and any details shared during a project.
We expect the same in return — please don’t share our internal processes, templates, or proprietary materials without consent.
6. Limitation of Liability
We’ll always strive for excellence, but technology is complex. Parfait Consulting isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from our services.
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific services in question.
7. Cancellations
You can end a project or engagement at any time. You’ll only be billed for the work completed up to that point.
We also reserve the right to end a project if it becomes unfeasible, unethical, or significantly changes in scope — with notice, of course.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect new services, tools, or legal requirements. We’ll post the latest version on our website, and the effective date will always be clear.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario.
